America Recycles Day (ARD) is a national effort to encourage and support recycling by individuals and communities. Join the City of Modesto and Lowes Home Improvement on Pelandale Avenue in celebration of America Recycles Day. View a display of recycled items available at Lowes. The ARD booth will be available from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on November 15. Learn about Modesto's many recycling programs, help the environment by purchasing products made from recycled materials and pledge to recycle more at www.nrc-recycle.org.

Recycling saves natural resources, reduces waste, saves energy and creates jobs. Reduce, reuse, recycle and buy recycled! Look for and purchase products made from recycled materials wherever you shop. Recycled items can be found in your daily life...carpet, countertops, bottles, clothing, office paper, tote bags, motor oil, building materials, tires, surfboards and even home decorations! Please help make our country a cleaner, more efficient and better place to live.
